Attorney Crump Talks No Charges To Be Filed Against Kenosha Police Officer

On Wednesday (1/6), Civil Rights Attorney Benjamin Crump called in to the Steve Harvey Morning Show to talk the case of Jacob Blake, Jr. The case of a 29-year-old African American male who was shot in the back seven times by 31-year-old Kenosha, Wisconsin police officer, Rusten Sheskey, as he opened the driver's door to his SUV and leaned in.

To the shock of many, during a news conference Tuesday (1/5), Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley announced that his office would not seek charges against Sheskey, who has been on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Wisconsin DOJ since the August 23rd shooting, which thankfully Blake survived.

The question on the minds of many is, how is an unarmed man with his back turned away from the police a threat?

Well, according to Attorney Crump, this is a "miscarriage of justice, that we see in with own eyes." Crump continues, "they've had some ridiculous rulings in the past, but this may really take the cake when you consider the fact that they are trying to convince us that a young Black man going away, running away, trying to get away from the police, with his back to the police is a threat to them."
