Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger is no longer behind bars, per TMZ.

On Tuesday (September 2), Huger, 62, was released at roughly 10 a.m. ET after serving six months in prison, the Montgomery County Detention Center said.

Huger's early release comes after she was convicted of several charges, including DUI, negligent driving, and failing to control her vehicle's speed to avoid a collision, following her March 2024 crash in Potomac, Maryland. Police said the reality TV star crossed a median and hit multiple street signs during the single-vehicle collision.

During her trial, witnesses alleged that Huger's car smelled like alcohol. An EMT who responded to the scene said Huger attempted to refuse treatment and "swayed" as she tried to step into the ambulance. According to the EMT, Huger allegedly told responders to "f*** off" and "go f*** yourselves." The reality television star allegedly complimented a female firefighter minutes later, saying, "You're so beautiful."

Body camera footage shown during the trial revealed an officer told Huger she was "hammered," to which she responded "bullsh**."

Huger was sentenced in February to two years in prison with one year mandatory. Her release comes six months earlier than expected.

The RHOP star has been ordered to serve five years of supervised probation upon her release. Huger isn't allowed to drive for a year and will be required to have an interlock device once she's cleared to be behind the wheel. If she doesn't violate the terms, Huger's probation will switch to unsupervised after three years.
