You don't need a special occasion to enjoy a meal at one of the best date-night restaurants in the country. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, spending an extravagant night out with your significant other, trying your luck on a first date, or simply want to enjoy a special meal with your partner, there are plenty of memorable restaurants to serve as the perfect backdrop.
According to a list of the "Top 100 Date Night Restaurants" compiled by Yelp, three Missouri restaurants are among the best in the entire country to enjoy a romantic meal with a significant other.
Coming in at No. 7 is Le Fou Frog, a spot in Kansas City serving French cuisine with popular dishes like Foie Gras Frais, Steak Au Poivre and Coquilles St. Jacques. Polite Society ranked No. 77 overall, a New American spot in St. Louis with hit dishes like bistro steak, pork osso buco and eggs Benedict. Rounding out the Missouri eateries on the list is Noto in St. Peters, which at No. 97 serves popular pizza and Italian options like Neapolitan pizza, cannoli and braised short ribs.
Here's how Yelp determined its rankings of the best date-night restaurants:
"We identified businesses in the restaurants and food categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning words and phrases such as 'date night,' 'romantic,' 'valentine,' and 'anniversary.' We then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning those keywords between January 1, 2021, and December 1, 2024."
