SZA caught a serious case of the waterworks after hearing what could be a new Lizzo song.
The âBroken Clocksâ singer-songwriter recently took to Twitter to tease âthe best songâ sheâs ever heard, admitting that the listening experience made her teary-eyed â and it seems like the âTruth Hurtsâ hitmaker may be to blame.
âLizzo really [just] played me the best song I ever heard in my life,â SZA tweeted on Monday (January 18). âIâm crying lmao like really."
Although SZA didnât confirm that the mystery song was in fact one of Lizzoâs, fans are really excited to hear it. âLizzo got music coming omg weâre saved,â one Twitter user responded, as another fan implored, âAsk her to drop a snippet pls Iâm begging.â
Itâs no secret that Lizzo and SZA are pretty cool with each other. As fans will recall, the songbirds led a virtual meditation session via Instagram Live amid the turbulent and emotional events of 2020.
As far as new music goes, Lizzo released her last studio album, Cuz I Love You, in 2019. The record spawned hits like âJuice,â âGood As Hell,â and the title track. At the 2020 Grammys, the LP was nominated for Album of the Year and took home Best Urban Contemporary Album.
While Lizzo has yet to formally share details of the sound of her highly anticipated fourth studio album, SZA recently dropped âGood Daysâ on Christmas Day in 2020. The TDE artist also lightly detailed her sophomore album for Cosmopolitan earlier this year. âThis album is going to be the sât that made me feel something in my...here and in here," SZA told the mag, pointing to her heart. "Thatâs whatâs going to go on the album. Iâm making all different types of sât every day from different places in my spirit.â
